What are the eyelash extension options available to me?
At BéLashii there are three different eyelash extension styles to choose from – classic, hybrid and volume.
Back when I first started my career as a lash artist in 2017 there were basic styles of lashes which include classic, hybrid, volume. Today in the lash world, you may be hearing things like mega volume, wet look, wispy, anime, doll eye, Y lashes, etc. All of these eyelash trends are one of the 3 basic lash styles just mapped or framed in different ways.
To achieve the design of eyelash looks trending today, your eyelash technician will have to attain the right knowledge and skill, not to mention that a lot of eyelash technician’s have their own specialties in the field. Finding the right eyelash technician for you is step 3. Step 1 would be to know your options and step 2 would be to know what look it is you want.
What is the difference between classic, hybrid and volume eyelash extensions?

What are classic eyelash extensions?
Classic eyelash extensions are where one extension(of your desired length), is applied to each natural lash. Classic lashes are the perfect starting point for most people who have never worn lashes before and our introductory price of $79.99 is unbeatable!
Classic lashes will only be as full as your natural lashes and fill times average 2 – 4 weeks.
Length, density, and design of the lashes will vary per client.
Current classic eyelash trends include, natural, wispy, wet look.
What are volume eyelash extensions?
Volume eyelash extensions at BéLashii are made up of homemade, customized fans – using up to ten thin lashes on each natural lash. Fans are made of very fine, lightweight lashes and typically last longer than the classic lashes.
Volume eyelash extensions are perfect for those who have sparse lashes, gaps in their lashes or want a full or dramatic look.
Volume eyelash extensions are 100% customizable and fill times average 2 – 5 weeks.
Length up to 19mm are available.

What are hybrid eyelash extensions?
Hybrid eyelash extensions are a mix of classic lashes and volume lashes. Hybrid lash looks vary depending on desired client look. Hybrid lash looks can be natural and soft or natural and dense.
Hybrid eyelash extensions are perfect for clients who want to stick with the natural look of the classic lashes but want to darken the base(get the eyeliner look) or add more volume to the overall look.
The volume lashes used in the hybrid lashes help the lashes last longer with fill times averaging 2 – 5 weeks.
Current hybrid eyelash trends include, the wet look and wispy.
Should I get a classic, hybrid or volume set of eyelash extensions?
If you have never worn eyelash extensions before we suggest starting with a classic set and upgrading if more volume is desired. Once you experience eyelash extensions for the first time you become more aware of what you want, so classic is a great starting point.
If you have natural lashes that are more sparse or are used to wearing strip lashes, starting with a hybrid or volume would be a better fit as the volume fans fill in gaps or provide fuller looks(if that is what you’re looking for).
Another thing to keep in mind when choosing what style fits you best is price. Classic lashes will be lower cost to get started, as well as lower cost for maintenance. The cost for hybrid and volume lashes will be higher to get started, as well as a higher cost for maintenance.
What is the difference in the thickness (density) of the eyelash extensions?
The difference in the density of eyelash extensions is the size/weight of the extension.
What are .03 eyelash extensions?
.03 eyelash extensions are the finest lashes available.
.03 lashes are used to make delicate, full, lightweight fans(up to 10 lashes on each lash).
If each individual .03 extension in a ten point fan is attached correctly to the natural lash, this keeps the fan open and connected to the natural lash. If three of the ten lashes fall off, seven could still be on.
.03 is the size we use here at BéLashii for our volume eyelash extensions.
.03 is the size least used by other salons due to the skill required to work with the delicate fibers.
What are .05 and .07 eyelash extensions?
.05 is the most commonly used density for volume eyelash extensions.
.05 and .07 are used for volume eyelash extensions, the higher the number the more dense each individual lash gets.
We do not recommend volume lashes with anything over .05 when creating multiple-point fans for safe, comfortable wear. When using heavier lashes to create fans, they can become too heavy, fast!
For classic and hybrid lashes, doubling(2 lashes on each lash) with .07 or .10 could be a way to add a little more volume without causing stress to or overweighing the natural lash.
What are .10 eyelash extensions?
These .10 eyelash extensions are delicate and thin, perfect for creating a soft classic look, however can be a little too subtle for most.
While most other lashes are thicker than a natural lash, these lashes are similar in density to a natural eyelash.
.10 are used as add-ins to what you already have or for doubling to increase volume.
What are .12 eyelash extensions?
I use these .12 eyelash extensions for creating a complete very natural look.
Because these lashes look and feel like real lashes, they can be used for a soft, delicate natural look, especially for those who want eyelash extensions but don’t want anyone to know.
What are .15 eyelash extensions?
A fun fact about .15 lashes…they are the most commonly used density for classic eyelash extensions.
Why, do you ask? Because they are great for a natural look that also adds a hint of darkness and fullness.
This diameter of lash is thicker than most natural lashes, the perfect size to not overweigh your natural lash and the perfect density to give you the dark look you are looking for.
We do not recommend using eyelash extensions over .15 as they can cause unnecessary stress and overweighing to the natural lash.
What eyelash extension density is best for me?
When choosing the density of your lashes it is important to think about every day wear. While some people are able to pull off a full volume look, this would be overwhelming to the next person. If you are a lover of thick lashes, go thick! If you are a simple person, stay simple. At BéLashii we suggest that you start of slow and work your way up, rather than the other way around.
What is the average eyelash extension length?
The average length of eyelash extensions used at BéLashii is 12mm-13mm.
The average length of a natural lash is 11mm.
What is the longest eyelash extension available?
At BéLashii we have up to 19mm long eyelash extensions.
